Miss Virginia Caressa Carlton was crowned Miss America Saturday night in Las Vegas. 3. 5 million viewers watched the TLC channel to see 51 contestants vie for the crown. Carlton, a broadcast journalism student at Virginia Commonwealth University and Fredericksburg, VA native, is the eighth black woman to win the title. Congrats to her!
